How to Install dmeventd software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

dmeventd software package provides Linux Kernel Device Mapper event daemon, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install dmeventd

dmeventd is installed in your system.

Make ensure the dmeventd package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dmeventd *

You will get with dmeventd package name, version, architecture and description in a table
